| 20 min | Scenario analysis in small groups Groups receive ambiguous scenarios (someone not responding to texts, a coworker being short) and identify possible internal vs. external attributions |
| 15 min | Perception checking practice Pairs practice writing and delivering perception checking statements for given scenarios |
| 15 min | Attribution error gallery walk Posters around room with common situations; students add sticky notes with potential attribution errors and corrections |
| 10 min | Debrief and personal application Class discussion: When is the fundamental attribution error most likely to occur? How can we catch ourselves? |
Materials Needed
- Ambiguous images/optical illusions (slides or handouts)
- Scenario cards with ambiguous situations
- Perception checking template cards
- Large poster paper and sticky notes for gallery walk
- Timer for activity rotations
