Week 15: Final Project Development & Peer Review
Project Refinement
Instructions
Use these prompts to refine your final facilitation project and prepare for peer review and presentation.
1Practice Prompt
In one or two sentences, articulate the core message of your facilitation. What is the single most important thing you want your audience to understand or be able to do after your facilitation?
If you struggle to state this clearly, your project may need more focus.
2Practice Prompt
Practice giving peer feedback: Choose a classmate's project summary (or imagine one) and write feedback that is specific, balanced, actionable, and kind. What works well? What could improve? How?
This prepares you for the peer review workshop and develops feedback skills.
3Practice Prompt
Identify 2-3 course concepts that are central to your facilitation. Explain how each concept connects to your topic and how you'll incorporate it into your presentation.
Consider concepts from across the semester - communication models, perception, verbal/nonverbal, relationships, conflict, context-specific communication.
4Practice Prompt
Anticipate 3 questions your audience might ask after your facilitation. Write your planned responses. For one question, practice saying 'I'm not sure, but here's what I think...' or 'That's a great question - let me follow up on that.'
Preparing for questions builds confidence and demonstrates comfort with uncertainty.
