Reflect on how your family of origin's communication patterns have influenced your current communication style in relationships outside your family (friendships, romantic relationships, work relationships). What patterns have you consciously kept? What patterns have you tried to change? How has understanding family communication patterns helped you become more aware of your own communication choices?
